NOTESYNC
NoteSync is a full-stack MERN app (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) that turns live lecture speech, in English, Urdu, or both, into an annotated transcript and structured study notes, powered by a classical NLP pipeline built from scratch.
Lectures move faster than handwriting. NoteSync catches every word in real time, in Urdu and English, so nothing gets lost and revision starts from structure, not scribbles.
Most AI note apps are a single LLM call behind a nice UI: fragile, expensive, and impossible to explain. NoteSync had to prove the NLP itself, including for Urdu and Roman Urdu, where off-the-shelf tooling barely exists.
Every NLP stage is implemented and tested: tokenization, POS tagging, bilingual TF-IDF with English, Urdu, and Roman Urdu stopwords, extractive summarisation, named entity recognition, and readability scoring. Gemini is only an optional polish pass, and 81 automated tests run in GitHub Actions CI/CD.
